So, what makes the Giro delle Dolomiti unique?

First of all, it’s a small scale event, with a limit of 600 contenders. This creates a unique atmosphere. The organizers and contenders really get to know each other during the event. The level of organization is exceptional. What can you expect? How about Excellent food and drink stops, great signage and a packed goody bag. Police and traffic managers will make sure you can keep riding. To make a long story short: you won’t miss a thing during this week.

The concept is special. Each stage starts in Bolzano, so transfer issues are non-existing. You will stay in the same accomodation the entire week. Stages vary in length from 86 to 160 km. The longest comprises the famous Sella round, preceded by a long stroke from Bolzano. With more than 3300 meters of elevation, this will be a challenge. The contenders of this race are no sissies! Each stage your time will be registrered on two segments. There are many different classifications in many categories, for men as well as women. The last stage includes a TTT with mixed teams which are being put together at the spot. Obviously, the winners gets a prize. In short: this is a stunning event with some serious cycling.
